ABOUT US
We are a community dedicated to the appreciation and education of Bourbon and Whiskey in Boone and the surrounding High Country areas. While our primary focus is on Bourbon and Rye, we occasionally explore other categories such as Scotch Whisky, Irish Whiskey, and more. Our group is open to seasoned enthusiasts as well as those just beginning their journey into the world of Bourbon and Whiskey.
MEETUPS
We host regular meetups designed to engage and educate our members. We encourage our members to take turns hosting meetups if they are interested in doing so. Each meeting features a variety of activities to enhance your knowledge and enjoyment. Some of the types of meetups we hold are:
Blind Tastings: Sharpen your palate and identify different expressions without the influence of brand labels.
Bottle Shares: Bring a bottle to share and discover new favorites from fellow enthusiasts' collections.
Bourbon Education: Learn about the history, production, and nuances of various Bourbons and Whiskeys.
Brand Awareness: Explore specific brands, their stories, and their unique offerings.
COMMUNITY & PHILANTHROPY
Beyond our passion for spirits, we are committed to giving back to our community. A portion of our activities and events will be dedicated to raising money for local non-profit organizations.

We traded urban speakeasy pretension for mountain hospitality. Whether you are cracking your first small-batch bottle or sharing a rare vintage find, if you're just beginning your Bourbon journey or are an experienced collector, our club is built on unpretentious camaraderie and genuine whiskey appreciation. Looking to simply learn about Bourbon or interested in its history? You are in the right place! Also, unlike some other groups, women are enthusiastically invited to join.
Based in Boone, but our members come from all over. If you live anywhere in the High Country or have ties to the area, we'd love to have you as a part of our group. We only ask that you are not here to sell, and that you are an active part of the community, no lurkers allowed! We don't charge anything to be a member, though we do offer a paid Rickhouse Level for those seeking additional meetups, single barrel pick experiences, etc.

Casual Bar Meetup at The Inn at Crestwood
New River Escape Barn
This month's casual bar meetup is being hosted by the fine people at The Inn at Crestwood. Come on out after work, or after whatever, for some drinks, snacks, and conversations with other members of the group.
Tell your friends who may have been curious about our group but were afraid to come to a regular meetup, that this is the ideal place to "check us out" to make sure we're the kind of people they want to associate with

Instead of a casual bar meetup this month , we will be visiting the New River Escape Barn. They've offered the location to us for free, asking only that we take lots of photos to post on social media to promote their event space!
We are asking everyone to bring one bottle to share, though it's just fine to come without a bottle...........just come! Bring some food to share as well if you can, though if you're just coming from work we understand that may be difficult. We'll have snack food available.
